The Clearing is a vision of the future in the grounds of Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park
By now, The Clearing should be running pretty smoothly. By late October, the food supply will be sorted, our hands will be clean, and our turbines will be whirring away. Now is the time to think about communicating with the rest of the world.
Radio is a means to communicate for relatively little energy over a relatively large distance. In this workshop, artist Jennfier Crouch will be showing us how to make a fox-hole radio from easily scavenged materials (bring ur own toilet roll tubes), and learning the basics of radio physics.
We’ll also be talking about how to transmit, and whether we’ll ever be able to listen to Abba Gold ever again.
DATE: Saturday 21st October 2017.
TIME: 11am - 4pm.
BRING: Stout footwear, some food to share.
TICKETS: Workshops cost £10 per adult and £5 per child. This includes admission to the grounds. To book a place, click here.
NOTE: Workshops are subsidised by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
